Yes, it's true. Unfortunately, our sponsor, Rocky's Market is closing their Brooklyn Basin location and the property managers are unwilling to help keep the program going. As of the end of August 2022, the Arts at the Basin program is closed indefinitely or until we find sponsorship. We encourage you to follow the individual artists and producers on social media to find out where they'll be performing next.

Watch this practical guide to walk you through the ins and outs of where, how, what and why you should attend events at the basin. This video covers logistics such as food, beer and wine, parking, bathrooms, events, and the adjacent park.

Comedy Edge: Stand-Up On the Waterfront

Because who doesn't need to laugh? Every Saturday (April - Oct) the Comedy Edge brings you a new diverse lineup of some of the brightest and boldest voices in comedy in the Bay Area and beyond: featuring acts that have been on Comedy Central, Netflix, HBO and BET. Bring your sense of fun for this wildly fun, edgy, adult comedy!

Flamenco Fridays

Local flamenco artist Melissa Cruz presents live monthly performances (April - Oct) outside of Rocky's Market Brooklyn Basin with a rotating cast of the Bay Area's best dancers and musicians. Check the calendar for dates.

Sunset Sundays

Sunset Sundays brings you live music of a diverse array of artists including Grammy & Latin Grammy winners, musical pioneers and innovators from around the world; artists who have performed with James Brown, Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Bonnie Riatt, Baaba Maal, Sting & Many More.

Modupue Sundays

Modūpue Sunday Features Javier Navarrette's Socially Distant Friends with Special Vaccinated Guests Anthony Blea and John Villa Lobos. They are a compilation of Bay Area's finest musicians/band leaders from many popular Bay Area dance bands from the Bay's thriving Latin, Salsa, Jazz scene. The band came together in February 2021 to bring much-needed music back to the community. Audience members and passers-by couldn't stop dancing on the sidewalks and even the median in the middle of University Ave.

Highlights of Other Music & Events

In addition to weekly programming, Arts at the Basin has included a number of events highlighting the amazing talent and level of artistry in the Bay Area including the Oakland Symphony, Kev Choice, the Rebecca Kleinmann Ensemble, the Black Panther 55th Anniversary Party, the Youth Jazz Sundays program, and more!

Once a month enjoy the Finer Things Fashion Show, a live fashion runway event presented by Hip Hop TV.
